Falcons Hand Red Wings First Loss of Season
Sherwood- David Burke made a successful season debut in goal for the A&S Scrap Metal Falcons, backstopping his club to a 3-1 win over previously unbeaten South Shore. The Wings were able to solve Burke only once in the first period, as Tyler Holmes gave the Wings the early 1-0 lead. However, a Brad Dunn powerplay goal in the second period sent the game into the final period knotted at one. Rookie Tyler Simpson scored what would be the game winner only 2:45 into the third, while fellow rookie Jason Morais added the insurance marker at the midway point. Alex Robertson suffered the defeat in goal for South Shore.
