Arsenault Provides Late Game Heroics
South Shore- The South Shore Red Wings are developing a flair for the dramatic. A week ago it was Naythan Praught scoring in the last minute to defeat Pownal. Tonight it was Matt Arsenault's turn to be the hero, scoring with only seven seconds remaining in regulation to give the Wings a 4-3 win over the Kings County Boathaulers.
The Red Wings jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after the first on goals by Alex MacDonald and Joel Noonan, while Joe MacKinnon responded for the Haulers. Kings County evened the score in the middle frame on goals by Graham Chisholm and Chris Bruce. Jason Ellis scored with 28 seconds left in the second to set the stage for the third.
Jordan Duffy turned aside 24 shots to record the win while Adam Hergert faced 41 shots in the losing effort.
