Wings Edge Falcons in High Scoring Affair

TYNE VALLEY, PE—The Western Red Wings edged the Sherwood A & S Scrap Metals Falcons by a score of 6-5 in Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League action played Sunday evening in Tyne Valley.
The Red Wings balanced offense had six different scorers, including Matt Arsenault (1-2), Pat Gallant (1-1), Josh Gallant, Pat LeFrank, TJ Campbell, and Darcy LaPierre. Assisting were Alex Noonan (2), Kris MacEwen (2), Craig Gallant, Kyle MacDonald, and Matt Richard. Alex Robertson recorded the victory in goal, stopping 23 of the 28 shots he faced.
Grant MacAulay (2), Alex Smith, Brett MacDonald, and Brodie MacDonald scored for Sherwood. Braden Johnson, Mark Walker, Denton Gorill, Mark Jennings, Kyle Reardon, Dan Roberts, and Gavin Duffy all recorded single assists. Suffering the loss in goal for the Falcons was Tyler MacDonald, who stopped 31 of the 37 shots he faced.
Referee Richard Johnson called six minor penalties in the game, four of which went to West Prince. Ryan Reid and Ottis McInnis were the linesmen.
