Builders Out-Gun Falcons in High-Scoring Affair

SHERWOOD, PE—The Charlottetown Metro Builders had the final say in Wednesday action of the Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League, in a game that featured 20 goals. The Builders defeated the Sherwood A & S Scrap Metal Falcons by a score of 11-9.
Scoring for the Builders (4-11-0) were Mike Waddell (3), Dustin Jones (3), Tyler Moore (2), Josh Toombs (1-2), Colin Whitlock and Nicholas Cheverie. Assists went to Ryan Chaisson (3), Morgan Walker (2), Carson Butler (2), Willie Whalen (2), Stephen Cassidy, Jordy Corcoran, Mike Crosby and Chad Doyle.
Scoring for the Falcons (8-8-1) were Grant MacAulay (3), Tyler Simpson (1-4), Kyle Reardon (1-3), Jonny Vloet (1-2), Chris Boswall (1-1), Brent Coade and Brodie MacDonald. Brett MacDonald (2), Alex Smith and Braden Johnston drew assists.
Jeremy McKinnon was the winning goaltender, stopping 35 of 44 shots. Ben Jones suffered the loss, stopping 20 of 31 shots.
Referee Paul Matte assessed a total of eight minor penalties in the game, five of which went to Sherwood.
