Red Wings Edge Builders in Shootout

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE—The Western Red Wings picked up a big win in Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior hockey League action played Thursday evening in Charlottetown. The Wings skated to a 6-5 shootout victory over the Charlottetown Metro Builders.
TJ Campbell scored two goals and added an assist for the Wings, while Pat LeFrank scored the shootout winner in addition to a goal and an assist. Also scoring were Darcy LaPierre (1-2), Alex McInnis (1-1), and Alex Noonan, while Kris MacEwen (2), Tyler Arsenault (2), and Ben Johnson recorded assists. Alex Robertson earned the goaltending win.
Two Charlottetown players recorded had tricks to lead the Builders, as Carson Butler and Nicholas Cheverie each found the back of the net three times. Assisting were Josh Toombs (4), Willie Whelan (2), Stephen Cassidy (2), Mike Wadell, and Dustin Jones. Chris Chandler suffered the loss in goal.
The Builders lead 2-1 after the first period, and 5-4 after the second period.
