McSweeney, Webster lead Vipers

CHARLOTTETOWN -- Cameron Webster scored two goals and three assists and Thomas McSweeney scored two goals and two assists on Thursday night to propel the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers to an 11-5 win over the Charlottetown Metro Builders. The Mark's Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League game was played at Simmons Sport Centre.

Graham Telford (2-0), Nick Reilly (1-3), Jeremy Jollimore (1-2), Jeff MacIsaac (1-2), Jeff Costain (1-1), and Shawn MacManaman (1-1) scored for Kensington.

Tyler Moore (1-1), Stephen Cassidy, Mike Waddell, Derrick MacDonald, and Chad Doyle scored for Charlottetown, with Nick Cheverie picking up two assists and Shawn Hughes picking up three.

Kensington led 4-1 after the first period and 7-3 after 40 minutes.

Logan Reid made 29 saves in the goaltending win for Kensington. Jeremy McKinnon made 22 saves before being pulled in the second period. Chris Chandler went on to make 27 saves.

Referee Wayne Doyle called three minor penalties to each team. Kensington also received a game misconduct for checking from behind.
