Vipers to host Xtreme minor hockey day
Posted Sep 7, 2010 by AJ Sports Media.
The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers have teamed up with Xtreme Hockey schools for a great initiative for next Saturday afternoon's game versus the Sherwood Falcons. The Vipers have invited minor hockey teams to attend the game at 2:00 p.m.
For each team attending the game, every player on the team will be entered to win a free hockey school at Xtreme Hockey. Each team will also be entered to win a free pizza party at an upcoming Vipers home game.
Vipers GM Pat McIver is pleased to be able to put this on.
"Phil Bridges at Xtreme Hockey has provided the hockey school and we are happy to be able to put on this event for the minor hockey teams. Especially at this time of year, it may give us a boost at the gate."
Despite starting the year 16-3 and playing good hockey with a lot of local talent, the Vipers have noticed a decline at the gate.
"We are going to try to do some more things to get people out to see this great product."
For more information on how to bring your team to the game, please call Pat McIver at (902) 439-8654.
