Toombs, Cassidy Lead Builders over Falcons

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE—Josh Toombs and Stephen Cassidy each scored twice and added an assist to lead the Charlottetown Metro Builders to a 7-3 win over the Montague Down East Maniacs in Thursday action of the Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League. The game was played at the Simmons Sports Center in Charlottetown.
Also scoring for Charlottetown were Alex Abbott (1-1), Mike Waddell (1-1), and Shawn Hughes. Assisting were Dustan Jones (2), Ryan Chaisson (2), and Carson Butler, while Chris Chandler earned the goaltending win.
Scoring for the Maniacs were Colby Bruce with a pair, and Anthony Cumminskey. Assisting were Aaron Fitzpatrick and Justin Hancock, while Nelson MacAulay suffered the loss in goal.
The Builders held period leads of 2-0 after the first, and 4-2 after the second.
Shots on goal in the game were even at 47 for each team.
