KENSINGTON, PE-- The Sherwood A & S Scrap Metal Falcons picked up a big win in Mark's Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League Saturday at the Kensington Community Gardens. The Falcons defeated the first-place Kensington Moase Plumbing & Heating Vipers by a score of 5-3. Scoring for the Falcons in the win were Brent Coade (1-1), Brett MacDonald, Brodie MacDonald, Denton Gorrill and Tyler Simpson. Earning helpers were Gavin Duffy (2), Daniel Whelan (2), Josh Doran, Jonny Vloet, and Chris Boswall. Tyler MacDonald was solid in goal, stopping 39 of 42 shots to earn the win. Mitchell Gallant, Jeff MacIsaac, and Tyler Doucette scored for the Vipers, with Jeff Costain (2), Allan Clow, and Colin Webster earning assists. Logan Reid turned aside 36 of 41 shots in suffering the goaltending loss. The Falcons held period leads of 2-1, and 4-1.
