TYNE VALLEY, PE—The Montague Down East Maniacs defeated the Western Red Wings 4-3 in a shootout in Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League action played Sunday evening in Tyne Valley. Josh MacDonald scored the shootout winner and contributed an assist to lead the Maniacs, while Brad MacDonald, Aaron Fitzpatrick, and Adam Fitzpatrick also scored in the win. Assisting were Jordan Hughes, Colby Bruce, and Tyler Gallant. Travis Willis was solid in goal for the Maniacs, stopping 45 of 48 shots and recording the shootout win. TJ Campbell lead the way for the Red Wings, scoring two goals and adding an assist, while Pat LeFrank also scored a goal and an assist. Alex Noonan contributed two assists. Alex Robertson stopped 23 of 26 shots in goal. The two teams stood tied at 1-1 after the first period, and 3-3 after the second.
