Red Wings Convincingly Defeat Builders

TYNE VALLEY, PE—The Western Red Wings picked up a convincing win in Marks Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League action played Sunday evening in Tyne Valley, defeating the Charlottetown Metro Builders by a score of 7-3.

Matt Richard (2), Pat LeFrank (1-1), Johnny Doull (1-1), Mitch Lamers, TJ Campbell, and Matt Arsenault scored for the Wings in the win. Assisting were Kris Read (3), Kendall Hackett, Ben Johnson, Craig Gallant, Pat Gallant, Tyler Arsenault, and Joel Arsenault. Cody Saunders picked up the goaltending win, stopping 27 of 30 shots.

Dustan Jones (1-1), Josh Toombs, and Jordy Corcoran scored for Charlottetown, who were short several players in the losing effort. Ryan Chaisson (2), Luke MacDonald, Shawn Hughes, and Carson Butler assisted. Chris Chandler was faced with 50 shots in the game, 43 of which he saved.

The Red Wings held period leads of 2-1, and 5-3 respectively.
