Butler, McKinnon Lead Builders over Falcons

SHERWOOD, PE—The Charlottetown Metro Builders rode Carson Butlers' four-point (two goals, two assists) performance to a 5-2 victory over the Sherwood A & S Scrap Metal Falcons in Wednesday action of the Mark's Work Wearhouse Island Junior Hockey League. The game was played at Cody Banks Arena in Sherwood.

Also scoring for the Falcons were Chad Doyle (1-1), Shawn Hughes, and Alex Abbott. Josh Toombs (2), Ryan Chaisson (2), Willie Whelan, and Stephen Cassidy all earned assists. Jeremy McKinnon was nearly unbeatable in goal for the Builders, as he turned aside 48 of the 50 shots he faced in the game.

Scoring for Sherwood were Brett MacDonald, and Brodie MacDonald, while Jon Vloet, Chris Boswall, and Grant MacAulay all earned single assists. Tyler MacDonald stopped 26 of 31 shots faced to suffer the loss in goal.

The Builders held period leads of 3-1, and 4-1 respectively.
