Vipers host Builders Saturday

The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers will host the Charlottetown Metro Builders this Saturday night at Community Gardens in Kensington. The Mark's IJHL game gets underway at 7:45 p.m.
The Vipers come in off of a disappointing 5-4 loss to Sherwood in a shootout and will be looking to get back into the win column. This marks the first meeting between these two teams since they completed a significant trade prior to the deadline that sent over-age forward Dustin Jones to the Vipers.
Saturday will also mark the debut of rugged forward Rory McDowell from BC. McDowell previously played in the Kooteney League but has not played so far this season. Vipers GM Pat McIver is impressed with his size and feels that after a couple of weeks he should be an impact player for the Vipers.
Saturday's game is a big one as the Vipers magic number to clinch first place is down to seven. Any combination of Vipers wins and either Sherwood or Tyne Valley losses that add to 7 will clinch first place and home ice through the playoffs.
