Red Wings Edge Vipers in Thriller

KENSINGTON, PE—Alex Noonan scored a pair of goals to lead the Western Red Wings to a 5-4 victory over the rival Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers in Saturday action of the Island Junior Hockey League. The exciting contest was played before approximately 300 spectators at the Kensington Community Gardens.
Also scoring for Western were TJ Campbell (1-1), Matt Richard, and Matt Arsenault. Earning assists were Kris MacEwen (2), Johnny Doull, Kyle MacDonald, Pat LeFrank, and Mitch Lamers. Cody Saunders recorded the win in goal, stopping 41 of 45 shots he faced.
Nick Reilly (2-1), Allan Clow, and Shawn MacManaman scored for Kensington. Cameron Webster and Jeremy Jollimore each recorded a pair of assists, while Logan Reid suffered the goaltending loss allowing six goals on 30 shots.
The Red Wings held period leads of 3-0, and 4-2 respectively.
